Karla Barber, founding president of the Dallas Chapter of Women for WineSense, has successfully completed the Sommelier Diploma Program with the International Sommelier Guild (ISG).

The program is an intensive six-month course held once a week and culminates in a series written, multiple choice, service and blind tasting exams that test a broad range of wine knowledge.  The ISG is the only professional body that accredits Sommeliers by direct instruction (www.internationalsommelier.com).
