"
Two years later
, I still remember fondly the Simpatica event and the reasons for which I joined Women for Winesense." - JC Provost, WWS member
Our most popular event of the year is upon us. Join us on Monday, October 3rd for a wine pairing dinner at Simpatica, a Portland favorite. For those of you who haven't heard, Simpatica closed down their public operation earlier this summer, and now the only way to enjoy their seasonal slow food is through private events. A meal like this would easily run you $100 a plate, and you'll enjoy wine education from Wes Elliott of Mitchell Wine Group to boot. What's not to love? Bring a friend and enjoy a meal you won't soon forget.
The menu:
STATIONARY HORS D’OEUVRES
Artisan Cheese Board with Fleur de Lis Bread and Seasonal Preserves
FAMILY-STYLE ENTRÉE COURSE
Mesquite-grilled Chicken Diavola with Paprika, Lemon, Fresh Oregano
Mushroom Galette, Parsley Pistou
Arugula, Oil-cured Olives, Shaved Fennel, Hazelnuts, Preserved Lemon Vinaigrette
Broken Yukon Gold Potatoes with Soft Herbs, Cracked Pepper, and Olive Oil
Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Laurelhurst Market Bacon Lardons and Espelette Chili
PLATED DESSERT
Seasonal Fruit Cobbler with Chantilly Cream
