DAL: Wine on America's Table

Wine on America's Table

We’re back in person and just in time for a perennial favorite - Wine on America’s Table! It’s a time when we enjoy a wine-paired dinner, relax and learn about new wines and food pairings.

We are fortunate that we have access to many wines, from many regions, to pair with our meals. We pair wine and food from the same region. We also pair the wines of one region with the food of another region. This year we’ll focus on one region, Spain.

Spain is an old world region that has been making wine for thousands of years and in many styles; still, sparkling (cava) and sweet (Jerez/Sherry). Winemakers have also contributed to advancement of the wine industry. Cava makers were the first to use the gyropalette, a device that shortens the riddling process - a process that moves yeast sediment to the neck of the bottle of sparkling wines.

Join us Tuesday, October 12 at 6:30 pm at Café Madrid. We’ll enjoy five interesting Spanish wines paired with a plethora of tapas.
