DAL: Mourvedre Around the World
Mourvèdre Around the World, with Shelly Wilfong
Join us to taste the many facets of Mourvèdre, the dark and brooding grape that Karen MacNeil calls “the Heathcliff of red grapes.” Mourvèdre shines as a blending component in a Bandol ros
é
or in a GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) blend. A single-varietal Mourvèdre can also be utterly compelling on its own.
We'll meet
Tuesday, November 9 at 6:30 pm
at a home in Plano to consider all the intriguing possibilities with selections from Spain, France, California, and Texas, along with some tasty food to pair with the wine.
Shelly Wilfong is a Dallas-based wine writer and educator, and both Creator and Host of the
This is Texas Wine
