Join us on Saturday, November 4th at noon, as we kick off our new endeavor. You asked…we answered! Weekend Events are a great way to kick back, relax, socialize, and learn about wine after a busy work week.
Our first event is one you don’t want to miss! A trip to the Finger Lakes is always fun but this time the FLX is coming to us. Jen Susa and the legendary Ann Martini from Anthony Road Winery will join us as we explore Riesling, in all its styles.
Riesling is an aromatic white grape that can produce white wines ranging in style from bone-dry to sweet and the Finger Lakes wine region loves this grape and produces some of the best Rieslings in the world.
Anthony Road is dedicated to growing and crafting fine wines that are reflective of their vineyards' soils and climate while expressing the character the Finger Lakes. They are also certified sustainable. Join us for a deep dive into their Rieslings accompanied by a Fall lunch menu.

Jen is the National Secretary and the Community Outreach Director for the Finger Lakes Chapter. In 2020, she took advantage of the WWS Grant and completed her WSET 2 and hopes to take her WSET 3 and 4.
Jen has a 23 year old son living his best life in Boston; a 128 lb Saint Bernard Boxer, and a Border Collie. She loves to workout, read, and travel. You may catch her exploring the wineries, breweries, and distilleries in the Finger Lakes.
Ann Martini grew up in Rochester, New York and the New York City suburbs of New Jersey. After working in teaching Ann and her husband John moved to Yates County in 1973 to grow grapes and raise their family on 100 acres overlooking Seneca Lake.
Ann managed the vineyard and raised the children, while John worked for Cornell University at the Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York. The grapes from their vineyards were first sold to the Taylor Wine Company and eventually to wineries across New York State.
In 1990, Ann (and John Martini) opened Anthony Road Wine Company with wines made from the 1989 crop. The first building was a renovated farm shop and the equipment was at best an eclectic collection of used and borrowed tanks and pumps and an old apple press. Their children, Peter, Sarah, Maeve and Elizabeth, have been involved in the vineyard and winery throughout their growing years and beyond. Peter now manages the vineyards and Elizabeth the tasting room. Sarah is the business manager and her husband Mike works as VP of Sales.
The joy of growing grapes and producing fine wines still motivates and excites the Martini family…more than a quarter-century after the first vines took root.
