Winemakers have a vision of what they want their wines to be, and finding the fruit that will bring that vision to reality is of utmost importance. Washington State currently has 14 AVA’s (American Viticultural Areas), and within each of those are numerous vineyards with differing soil types, microclimates, and vineyard practices that will influence what is expressed in the glass.  We met Lisa Warr-King Packer last April at our Emerging Washington Women In Wine event. Her limited production wines focus on a sense of place, and she believes in a minimalist approach, the perfect winemaking philosophy to allow us to look at The Vineyard In The Glass. Lisa will talk about the vineyards she uses and how the unique characteristic of each of those are found in the wines she crafts.


Our sit-down dinner will be prepared and served by Chef Anne Marie, of Woodinville’s Chef Anne Marie Eatery and Catering. Winemaker Lisa and Chef Anne Marie designed the menu together, creating pairings that will bring out the best in both the wines and the dishes.

The price for the evening is $57.00 for members, $67.00 for nonmembers.

Please note the system charges a $3.00 processing fee for WWS nonmembers to pay by credit card. To RSVP & pay by check, email wwsseattle@yahoo.com to confirm, then mail your check (made out to Seattle Women For WineSense) to Sue Regan - at 112 - 236th Place SW, Bothell, WA 98021.  Your check must be received 3 days after your RSVP is made. After that time your space will be released. This event is nonrefundable after February 13th. All refunds will be by check, less a $5.00 fee.
