When wine loving Brandee Slosar met Brian Grasso she discovered he was a vodka guy. A few years later Brian visited a winery and his interest began to shift. He began tasting wines and learning about winemaking, finally telling her "I want to be a winemaker. I want to make really, really good wine". His his conversion was complete! He began taking classes and apprenticed at Darby Winery in Woodinville. In 2008 he made his first barrel of wine - a Syrah - in a friend's garage. His next step was as a cellar rat at Baer Winery, followed by a full internship in with Chris Sparkman at Sparkman Cellars, all the while making his own wine. In 2011, Brian and Brandee made two big leaps: they got married AND completed the paperwork to make Structure Cellars a reality. In December 2014, they moved the winery from their basement in Ballard to their new space south of the stadiums in Seattle. Located in the new SODO Urban Works Projects, this small urban winery has invited us to sample their wonderful wines, barrel taste and play a bit of "name that varietal". This winery is sure to be one of your favorite new discoveries of the year!

Our Wine On America's Table program is a WWS national event each chapter builds around wine as way of bringing together family and friends though the enjoyment of American wine. Join us for an evening of great family-made wines - and bring a friend!
