The Art and Science of Blending Cool Climate Red Varietal Wines In this interactive class we will be discussing and executing the art and science of blending cool climate red varietals. Learn how and why winemakers make the choice to blend. Participants will taste a finished red blend along with the individual components of traditional Bordeaux varietals. They will then put together and enjoy a glass of their own Bordeaux blend.
Participants will enjoy a light snack of local cheeses and take home a stem-less wine glass.
Our wine educator for this event is Eric Frarey, Chief Operations Officer of Heron Hill Winery on Keuka Lake. He is a veteran of the wine and spirits industry in the New York market for over 30 years. In 2013 he brought his experience and deep passion for the Finger Lakes and New York wine to Heron Hill.
