Piattelli Vineyards
Tessa’s passion for wine begins with her love for agronomy and agriculture. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Tarleton State University where she studied biology and chemistry. Her passion really blossomed when she got her first wine job in 2011, where she managed a tasting room, as well as assisted the winemaker in the winery. She enjoys showcasing different varietals growing in varying terriors and climates, and then stylistic differences in the winery. She continues to expand her hospitality skills and wine education through various certifications in Court of Master Sommeliers and Wine & Spirit Education Trust. She is also currently working on her diploma with the Wine & Education Spirit Trust (WSET).Tessa is an Argentina Wine Specialist, as well a Certified Specialist of Texas Wine and continues to regularly meet with winery and vineyard owners to discuss current industry issues. Tessa currently works for Piattelli Vineyards in Argentina. She believes in the quality, consistency, and price point of South American wines and can’t wait for the world to fall in love with Argentine wines, especially Piattelli!
"Winemaking is our expert craft and rooted deeply within my heritage. My father was a well known Winemaker, as was my Uncle & Grandfather. There has always been a bottle of wine on the family table. Today that bottle is Piattelli. ”

Community Outreach
This quarter, Women For WineSense Finger Lakes will be directing their efforts towards supporting the Living Well Mission of Yates County.
The Living Well Mission (The Well) was created to provide emergency services to individuals and families in crisis. An as-needed emergency food pantry was established in conjunction with the Penn Yan Food for The Needy program, which distributes food once a month.
Recognizing the needs of the Yates County community went beyond the scope of food instability, an emergency dry goods pantry (including paper products, hygiene products, cleaning and laundry supplies, and baby diapers) was established with the support of churches, community organizations, and volunteer donations. In the first 3 months of operation 389 families or 1,439 individuals in crisis were assisted with emergency goods, while Pastor Sandi and volunteers developed linkages with other agencies in order to expand services to our vulnerable clients.
At our September event, Rachel Anderson will join us as our guest speaker from The Well to share about the organization's Christmas program and how we can help!
