Grapevine
Connect face-to-face with the Women for WineSense community at events hosted by the Grapevine Chapter. We present consumer oriented wine education events that are fun, relaxed, and varied – with no wine snobbery allowed!

Messina Hof Winery in Grapevine has recently agreed to provide a 10% discount to Women for WineSense members! If you haven't been to the tasting room on Main Street in Grapevine yet- we highly recommend that you go and experience their wonderful selection of wines that you won't find in any stores.

Welcome to the Grapevine Chapter

Grapevine is currently the newest chapter of Women for WineSense. Our chapter was founded in September 2018. We look forward to sharing many events together in the years to come. If you haven’t attended one of our programs yet, we would certainly love for you to come to one of our events, get to know us, and learn about, taste and explore the diverse subject of wine. Our membership includes both women and men, but you do not have to be a member to attend. We also encourage people to let us know what they would like to learn about wine, so if there is something you would like to know a bit more about, just tell us!

We have chapters from coast to coast and members are invited to attend events hosted by any chapter if you're traveling in their area.

Your group is Women for WineSense. Do men attend your events?

Yes! About 80% of our attendees are women and about 20% are men. All are welcome - above 21 years of age, of course!

What types of events have you held?

While we are a new chapter, we have had some really great events so far. We've had two Facebook Live events where we've tasted wines along with all of the other chapters nationwide while winemakers and industry professionals talked about the wines. We've had several wine and food pairing events. The most popular events so far have been our "Grillin' and Chillin'" event (where we presented summer wines paired with foods and snacks that you can enjoy together- even if you're just relaxing in your own backyard or by the pool) and our "Wines Aged in Whiskey, Bourbon or Tequila Barrels event. We also just had our first Virtual Wine Tasting Event featuring wines from Messina Hof- our newest discount vendor.

We are looking forward to preparing more events for sensory evaluations, blind tastings, heart health benefits of wine and even some BYOB events where you can bring your favorite wine to share.

Upcoming Event:

"Get Corked for Christmas"- December 5th from 2-4pm at Off The Vine in Grapevine

Due to Covid-19 restrictions- seating will be very limited for this event. Please wear a mask whenever entering a vendor location.
