WWS member publishes book on Texas wines

Cheers Y'all - A toast to Texas wine

Stephanie Wetherill grew up in the land of tumbleweeds and cotton in the community of Childress in the Texas Panhandle. Research led her to the realization that many grapevines fancy the same growing conditions as cotton. An adventurous nature inherited from her father, Dr. Jack Fox, led her to the conclusion that wine was decidedly more exciting than cotton, and thus ignited her passion for wine. The book pays tribute to wine in Texas and includes wine history, personal experiences, stories, and information about Texas wine and wine in general. If you are new to wine or an experienced connoisseur, this book is entertaining and sure to amuse, highlighting the significant impact Texas and Texans have had on the wine industry.

Texas ranks 5th in United States wine production with over 180 wineries and numbers are growing every day. Wine grapes were cultivated in Texas more than 100 years before California.  Find out why the state is now awakening to its potential. Cheers Y’all sets forth the path to find and enjoy some of the best wines in the country.  The book targets adventure lovers, fans and cynics, wine novices and aficionados. It provides fun and amusing insight into the budding Texas industry while taking much of the mystery out of wine.

Cheers Y’all is also available through the author’s website: www.TexasAndWine.com, major booksellers such as Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Borders.
