In Your Own Backyard: A Finger Lakes Wine Primer
WWS ROC is pleased to announce that we are going to hold our own Zoom event to pair with the National Virtual event on February 24th. Our very own Donna Schlosser-Long will present an overview of Finger Lakes wines that will run just prior to the National Event! Sip along with Donna and further your appreciation for wines we can find right in our own backyard. Registration for this event is $5, simply pick any Finger Lakes wine – we suggest a Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Rose or Saperavi (although any of your favorite wines will do!) and join in.
A little about our presenter Donna Schlosser-Long:
Donna’s career in the wine business started in 2002 as Director of Outside sales for Casa Larga Vineyards, a local Finger Lakes Winery. Most recently she joined Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits as a Portfolio Manager in the Liberty Division. Donna focuses on the Jackson Family of wines from around the world. She has experience with both importing and distribution of wines, representing many of the leading properties in France, Italy, Spain, Argentina along with many others. She is also National President of “Women For WineSense”, a National Not-for-Profit Wine Education Organization. Her organization holds regular local events where members learn about wines by enjoying delicious wine and food “pairings”.
