Celebrating Santa Barbara Wine Month with Katie Phillips from Cambria Estate Winery
Join us on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET for a wine tasting with Katie Phillips from Cambria Estate Winery. October is Santa Barbara Wine Month and Katie will introduce the Santa Barbara wine region to us.
Katie grew up in the East Bay Area of Northern California which is a short hour drive to Sonoma and Napa. Almost immediately after studying sales and marketing at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, Katie caught the food and wine bug while managing events and catering at a local restaurant. She planned weddings, holiday parties, catered in home dining experiences and put together memorable food and wine experiences for the guests. This restaurant was where Katie first found her love of Cambria as they poured the Cambria ‘Tepusquet Vineyard’ Syrah by the glass.
In 2003, Katie left the restaurant to sell wine in San Francisco to some of the best restaurants in the world. While working in San Francisco, Katie was immersed in the local farm to table dining scene, built relationships with top chefs and sommeliers and enjoyed world class wine. She passed the Level One exam from the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators. In January, Katie celebrated her 15th anniversary of working for Jackson Family Wines.
