DAL: The Wines of Mexico

Wines of Mexico

When we think of adult beverages in Mexico, we often think of tequila, mezcal, brandy or beer. We don’t think about wine. Yet, Mexico has been producing wines since 1521 when the Spanish planted the first vitis vinifera vines, and is the oldest wine-growing country of the entire American continent.

Mexico has four main wine-producing areas, Baja California, south of San Diego, produces the majority of the wine; Sonora, across the gulf from Baja California;
La Laguna (Valle de Parras), south of Texas; and Central Mexico.

Join us Tuesday, January 17 at 6:30 pm at a home in 75219 as we learn more about Mexican wines and the regions where they are produced.
