This session explores what current research actually says about alcohol, hormones, cancer risk, longevity, and lifestyle, cutting through headlines and myths to provide clarity. Walk away with informed insight, practical context, and a balanced understanding of how wine fits into women’s wellness today.

Dr. Edward J Miller is a retired board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and former hospital Chief Medical Officer. Over a four-decade medical career, he served as a clinician, surgeon, educator, researcher, and hospital executive, including roles as Chief of Staff and OB-GYN department chair at major medical centers.

Dr. Miller has been passionate about wine since taking a wine appreciation course during medical school. He is a member of the Renaud Society, an international group of medical professionals studying wine and health, and a regular attendee at International Wine & Heart Health Summits. He has delivered evidence-based lectures on wine and health to both professional and public audiences for more than 15 years.


He and his wife, also a physician, live in Tucson, Arizona, where he continues to advocate for informed, balanced conversations about lifestyle, longevity, and quality of life.
