How do we make wine resonate with the next generation? This talk, by Madeline Puckette of Wine Folly, dives into the evolving preferences, communication styles, and values of younger consumers, offering insights for making wine more approachable, relevant, and exciting for emerging drinkers.
After losing her design job during the 2009 Great Recession, Madeline Puckette walked into a wine bar and never looked back. Becoming a certified sommelier in 2010 she then launched Wine Folly in 2011, making wine education fun for millions. Her work includes two visual guides to wine, a New York Times bestseller and a James Beard Award winner. Then in 2019, she merged Wine Folly with Global Wine Database, gaining a team and a platform for accurate wine information. Today, Wine Folly offers acclaimed online courses, memberships, and digital tools, empowering a global community to explore, learn, and enjoy wine in a whole new way.
